Guess the Cup is a coffee tasting event in Italy designed for non-professional coffee lovers who want to enjoy an engaging, educational, and competitive coffee tasting experience.

A true coffee challenge, where the palate takes center stage in a tasting and speed competition.

Coffee tasting: how the event works

During this coffee tasting event, participants will be presented with 6 cups of 6 different coffees, each numbered.
The goal will be to match each cup with a tasting sheet consisting of 6 questions about the coffee’s sensory characteristics.

The coffee tasting will take place using batch brew preparation, allowing each participant to serve themselves directly from the thermos and freely manage the tasting.

Timed coffee challenge

A Timekeeper will follow each competitor during the challenge.
The time will start at the signal to begin and end when the completed sheet is submitted.

In this coffee challenge, accuracy and speed are essential for advancing to the final stage.

Finale of the coffee tasting event

The 3 best participants will advance to the final round, the concluding stage of the coffee challenge.

The final will consist of a coffee tasting made up of 5 sets of 3 cups, in which 2 out of 3 coffees are identical.
The participant must identify the 5 different cups in the shortest time possible.

The time will be measured from the start of the round until the declaration that the challenge is over. Until then, participants may change their choice.

Who can participate in the coffee challenge

This coffee tasting event in Italy is open exclusively to non-professional coffee lovers.
Participation is not permitted for anyone who works in the coffee industry or anyone affiliated with Specialty Coffee or Ditta Artigianale.
